This pilot study assesses differences in the knee biomechanics of two fundamental ballet movements of a grand plié and changement. A marker-based motion capture system and force plates were used to analyze the participant's movement. Peak varus in the grand plié and peak ground reaction force in the changement were found to be significant in potentially increasing the risk for knee injures overtime.
