Description / Abstract
Gastropods Ifremeria nautilei and Alviniconcha boucheti were collected from deep-sea hydrothermal vents at the underwater Mata Volcanoes. The population structure of these species were assessed using mitochondrial DNA markers. It was found that there was no significant genetic structure between populations, indicating high gene flow between the vents.
