About This Collection

The "Articles of Faith" are the 16 core beliefs of the Church of the Nazarene, a Protestant Christian denomination that in the Wesleyan, Methodist, and Holiness traditions. They cover theological positions such as the Trinity, the authority of Scripture, salvation, sanctification and the sacraments. These articles emphasise the importance of personal holiness, evangelistic mission and the unity of believers. They serve as a doctrinal foundation that guides the beliefs and practices of Nazarenes around the world.

The "Articles of Faith" are part of the constitution of the Church of the Nazarene, and may be amended by a lengthy procedure involving the Church's General Assembly and the concurrence of districts around the world.
