Robert A. Cook was a pastor, writer, evangelist, and leader in the evangelical Church. In addition to ministering in local congregations, he served as president of Youth for Christ International in the 1940s and 1950s and then went on to lead The King's College in Briarcliff Manor, New York. He also led the National Associaton of Evangelicals and the National Religious Broadcasters and served as chaplain for his local police force and firefighters. He was married to Coreen and father to three daughters.
